The Art of Code

The Art of Code is a syndicated video podcast dedicated to coding on the web. The idea for this came from my desire to create video tutorials for the community college class that I teach on interactive media with a focus on web design.

About Ted Forbes

I started my career in interactive design around 1996 during the height of the tech boom. My first job was working for a music software company doing transcriptions of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin and others. I quickly worked my way into doing interface design followed by coding and web design. In 2001 I opened my own studio specializing in both print and interactive design for a host of clients including Microsoft, RasGas LNG, the Illustrators Partnership and many portfolio sites for illustrators and photographers. I served on the Board of Directors with the Dallas Society of Visual Communications and brought in a host of guest speakers including James Patterson (Presstube), Todd Purgason (JUXT Interactive), James Baker (WDDG) and Hillman Curtis. In 2004 I joined Brookhaven College as an adjunct professor teaching web design, a position I still hold today. In the fall of 2007, I began working at the Dallas Museum of Art as Multimedia Producer working on the Arts Network, DallasMuseumofArt.tv and a host of video and production work.
